“The report from researchers in the international health organization’s Agency for Research on Cancer classified processed meat as “carcinogenic to humans” and red meat as “probably carcinogenic.” Those classifications follow the evaluation of more than 800 studies from around the world about meat and cancer.

But that also doesn’t mean that ham or beef [alone] will cause cancer, said registered dietitian Vincci Tsui.”
