Holy Smokes Pita Chips

Holy Smokes Pita Chips

Pita chips can be an interesting alternative to tortilla chips or potato chips. This version, adapted from Cook! the latest cookbook from Dietitians of Canada, is makes use of many different spices to give it a smoky flavour. For a plain alternative, omit the spices and sprinkle the chips with a little bit of sea salt before baking. For a sweet snack, try cinnamon and a little bit of brown sugar. Use melted butter instead of oil for extra flavour!
