Comprehensive Assessment

We’ll start your Intuitive Eating journey with a deep dive into your health history, lifestyle and environment, and how they have influenced your relationship with food and your body today. This process can take several sessions, but you will leave with a better understanding of yourself, as well as specific action steps to help you start tuning in to your inner Intuitive Eater.


Individualized Support

Our follow-up meetings are more than a “quick check-in”. These meetings are an opportunity to dig deeper into your food and body story, and continue to layer in more knowledge and skills, so that you can continue to move forward throughout your personal journey.


Regular Email Follow-Up

You will receive an email summary after every session, and also a quick check-in from me between sessions. There are no limits to the number of times we can correspond via email. As a client, you will receive priority access to me, so that you can feel supported at every step, and not have to wait to have your questions answered!


Flexible & Tailored to You

I truly believe that each person is their own expert, and my role is only as a guide and facilitator. You are in charge of your experience. Meet in-person at my office in NW Calgary, or virtually via phone or Skype. Choose how often you want to meet, whether it’s weekly for consistent support, or less frequently so that you have more time to practice and embody your new skills.

Frequently Asked Questions {F.A.Q.}

Why don't you help people lose weight?

As a weight-inclusive, non-diet dietitian, I do not support intentional weight loss. While intentional weight loss (aka diets) “work” in the short-term, the vast majority of people regain their weight within 2-5 years. Many people end up even heavier than when they started. (Not to say that weight gain is a bad thing per se, but noting that is the opposite of the intended effect.)

Moreover, intentional weight loss is associated with harmful outcomes like disordered eating and weight cycling, and upholds weight stigma, aka the systems that value smaller bodies over larger bodies.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

You may benefit from working with me if:

  • You are tired of feeling obsessed with food, hating your body, and ready to break free from the diet-binge cycle.
  • You are interested in intuitive eating, mindful eating, body positivity and/or Health At Every Size®, but struggle to apply it to your own life.
  • You are looking for help managing a chronic condition using a weight-inclusive approach.

We may not be a good fit if:

  • You’re just looking for a meal plan. (Here’s why.)

  • You’re happy with your current eating habits and lifestyle, and not looking to make significant changes.

Where are you located?

I share an office with Wholistic Health YYC in The Village, located just steps away from Brentwood C-Train station in Northwest Calgary. I can also meet you virtually via online teleconferencing (I use a HIPAA-friendly program, but will also use Skype or Facetime with your permission) or phone, but please note that I am registered to practice in the province of Alberta, Canada.
Are you covered by health insurance?

Many employee healthcare plans cover services provided by a registered dietitian (that’s me!) If you are receiving my services online, please note that I am registered with the province of Alberta, Canada, and some plans do not cover out-of-province practitioners. Check with your HR department/plan provider.
Do you offer direct billing?

Yes! I offer direct billing for those who are covered under Alberta Blue Cross, Great West Life, Manulife, SunLife, and others. Please note that most providers won’t cover the full cost of a session, so be prepared to pay for part of your session out of pocket.
Do you have a refund policy?

If you have purchased a package and at any point decide that we’re not a good fit, you will receive a full refund, minus $175 for every session that you have completed.
