Kale Ginger Berry Smoothie

Makes: About 1½ cups

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) whole flaxseed (optional)

  • 1 kale leaf, including stem, roughly chopped

  • ¾ cup (185 mL) frozen berries

  • 1 thick slice fresh ginger, about 1”, peeled

  • 1 cup (250 mL) milk or milk alternative

Instructions

  1. Add flaxseed to blender. Pulse until flaxseed is ground. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
