Kale Ginger Berry Smoothie

Makes: About 1½ cups
Ingredients
2 Tbsp (30 mL) whole flaxseed (optional)
1 kale leaf, including stem, roughly chopped
¾ cup (185 mL) frozen berries
1 thick slice fresh ginger, about 1”, peeled
1 cup (250 mL) milk or milk alternative
Instructions
Add flaxseed to blender. Pulse until flaxseed is ground. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
